gathering oh gathering~!!!!
Today during the youth service, as the music was playing and we were all singing, this thought came to me:
Imagine yourself sitting at the Lords feet listening to Him... suddenly, people around you, your close friends or even your bestest friends starting standing up and started leaving the Lords feet. Will you conform or will you stay?
Many a times we look left and right just to see who is running the race with us. And at times, we fail to notice that that isn't our priority. We loose focus on who and where we are running to. How i wish i could run with everyone that i know towards God. But they need to make that decision to run. I cannot make it on their behalf and most of all, I cannot force them to run!
We only had 10 people in youth service today, and to be honest, i was kinda dissapointed even though i kinda expected it. But i'm glad that my God is my encourager. Just as I wanted to look down and focus on the ever long list of problems, He lifted up my head and held it high. "Look up my dear child. I'm above you guiding you and ensuring things are working alright for you. Trust in me for I know better. For I am able to see things above you. Trust in me, my beloved."
"Lord, teach me not to look left nor right, but to just look up at You and to ask of you for strength and love to continue on. Things are never easy, but Lord, I am willing to learn from You alone. Guide me and lead me. I wanna live to glorify You alone for You deserves the highest praise. 'I need you in my life, I'm never letting go, of all the things you've said. I'm holding on You've promised me that You'll never leave, You're always on my side. You'll never let me go. So i'm holding on cause I know that I need You!' [Planetshakers - Need you in my life] I am no longer able. Be my comforter, my encourager and most importantly, my anchor. 'Turn my eyes upon Jesus and look in his wonderful grace. And the things of the earth will grow strangely dim, in the light, of His glory and grace.' I run to You O Lord. By His gracious name, Amen."
